The Parishoners of Saint Joseph Church in Lawrence, MA rejoiced on Sunday, April 25 in two santified events during the Pontifical Divine Liturgy presided by His grace Archbishop Cyril S. Butros of Newton.
The Most Reverend Bishop John Elya, emerotus, and Father ImadBarakeh, B.S.O. pastor, concelebrated, assisted by Protodeacon Bryan McNeil and Deacon John Mcmillan.
The first event was the blessing of Ziad J. Layous, a long time and active parishioner of Saint Joseph is attending the Diaconate Program, as a subdeacon by His Grace Archbishop Cyril.
The second joyful event occurred when two little angels, Lucas Maxx and Angela Naser, received the Sacrament of Holy communion having completed the Eucharistic Awareness program.
The joy of the momentwas indescribable and vivid on the faces of Lucas and Angela as well as their families and teachers. Lucas is the son of Christopher and Robin Max; Angela is the daughter of Tony and Elissar Naser.
The great work of the Eucharistic Awareness progtam lead teacher, Mrs June McNeil, and all the sunday School teachers is always appreciated by the community of Saint Joseph Church.
